The Process
1. Screening
You will be sent a comprehensive screening pack consisting of standardised psychometric questionnaires looking at ADHD traits, executive functioning, and mental health.
2. Adult ADHD Assessment
An ADHD assessment can be conducted face to face in Dorchester or virtual by video. I use a series of assessment tools including semi-structured clinical interviewing along with the Diagnostic Interview for ADHD in Adults Version 5 (DIVA-5). The clinical interview will be like a timeline of your life, going through areas such as family, education, employment, socialisation and mental health.
3. Corroboration
Additional information can be gathered from somebody that knows you well (e.g., parent, partner, sibling). This part of the assessment is not essential for adult ADHD assessments, but it can be useful to add additional third party evidence.
4. Report
A comprehensive report (approx. 12 pages) will be written and emailed to you. This will include your profile of ADHD traits, a diagnostic outcome, your strengths, and recommendations going forward with regards to what I feel may help you intervention-wise and taking into account reasonable adjustments in any workplace or education setting.
5. Feedback
We will meet for a feedback session face to face or virtually to discuss the ADHD assessment outcome, the report content, and how you have processed it all. We can also focus on next steps in this session and the post-diagnostic support options.
It all starts with a message. Get in touch today for further details or to arrange a consult.
